This Event takes place in the following locations:
Before they separate, Ami asks Ayane to give Makoto a mean message from her, and Makoto, who's decorating the room the party takes place in with Yumi, Miku and Noriko, feels like someone's insulting her.
Makoto is surprised to see Yumi here, but she had nothing else to do, so she came together with Noriko after their shift ended. Makoto recalls her getting a job at the convenience store and wonders if this made her more approachable and willing to help, but she explains she's just tired of being hated. She's also looking forward to the reset so she can forget all of this, but Makoto reminds her this will only be the case if she's reset herself, which Yumi would prefer over having to deal with the end of the world and her personal problems.
Makoto offers to hear her out, but Yumi doesn't want to drag someone into her mess, especially someone who cares too much like her. However, Makoto tells her she's taking a more relaxed approach in her life and explains how she decided to do so after learning her actions have next to no consequences, with the biggest negative being them having to relive their school year for all eternity, which she doesn't see as a real negative. Yumi disagrees since she would like to leave her student life behind one day, but Makoto thinks that would be worse since they will have all kinds of responsibilities, expectations and problems to deal with when they leave school, whereas being a student gives them more leeway to mess up – Not that Makoto ever had the time to make mistakes with how she lived in the past, which is why the time loop is so appealing to her.
Once Makoto is done with decorating the table, she also admits that she stopped carrying about others and will even sacrifice them for her own benefit, confesses her relationship with Sensei to Yumi, and how she doesn't feel embarrassed about anything, which is met with a somber look from Yumi. She confesses how she thought the old Makoto wasn't that bad, because she admired how responsible she was and appreciated her covering for her absence, and while she's glad that Makoto can relax now, even if the situation allowing her to do so isn't great, she dislikes how she became so careless towards the other girls and has no qualms toying or hurting others to boost her own ego, and promises to beat her up if she intends to abuse the time loop to hurt others.
Makoto is surprised by her cute display of righteousness and even considers giving her a hug for her growth, but Yumi only said it knowing this embarrassing moment will be erased from her memory, though Makoto reaffirms how they stop feeling embarrassed once they lived with the knowledge of the time loop for a while. She also clarifies that she won't hurt anyone, since she'll always be the same carrying control-freak she always was, and only intends to be a bit more honest with those around her and, moreover, herself. She also gives Yumi her blessing to make new experiences, but Yumi quickly understands what she's insinuating and refuses to make those kind of experiences, especially after recent complications of her personal life.
At that point, Futaba, Rin, and Chika enter the room, and while Rin wants to get one of the higher hanging skulls for her collection, Chika excuses herself so she can have a talk with Yumi.
