Synopsis
At the hotel, Yumi has met up with Chika and Makoto and wants to discuss the reset with the latter, which is initially met with disbelief and confusion from both of them because neither of them are aware of it. Makoto ends up believing her, since Yumi isn't the type to joke about this stuff, though points out how ridiculous it sounds, which Yumi agrees with, but since her Makoto knew about it, she thought this one would know about it too. If she doesn't, however, Yumi feels like she needs to repeat this section of her life again, which wouldn't be pleasant due to how Chika threatened her and became insane during it.
Makoto wonders if what she told her might be related to Ayane's emotional outbreak at the cafe, and, hearing this, Yumi hopes that this Ayane might be the one she knows, because she's also involved in this. Unfortunately, Ayane left with Maya to an unknown destination, which makes Yumi wonder how she can reach her now, until Chika sarcastically reminds her that phones exist, with Makoto offering to let her borrow hers to Yumi as both take a seat at a nearby sofa.
Makoto wants to know how the future looks like, because she started to have weird dreams after her father's death which looked similar to the events Yumi described to her, but Yumi can't really answer anything about them as she herself is new to this. Makoto decides not to push the limits of time travel too far, but would like to know if she manages to overcome her sadness, but Yumi thinks she needs to figure this out on her own.
Meanwhile, at the reception desk, Chika has joined Miku and Karin. She's hugging Miku the entire time, as she's just as infatuated with her gyaru persona as she was in the original timeline, though Karin likes the normal Miku more. Chika changes the subject and wants to invite both of them to hang out the next weekend, but Karin declines since she watches football with Sensei on that day, which reveals that this is something they do a lot. Miku accuses her of being closer to Sensei than just football friends, and while Karin tries to defend herself, she ends up making herself look even more suspicious due to her revealing incriminating details about their time together, which fully convinces Chika and Miku that Karin has them all beat.
Back with Yumi, she's unable to reach Ayane via phone and so she's forced to find her the old-fashioned way. After leaving the hotel, an unknown narrator wonders if she finally feels motivated to do something and if she's feeling afraid, until she meets someone unexpected – Her cousin, Kaori.
