Synopsis
As night falls, Sensei is caught in an internal conflict about how he should see Touka – On the one hand, she's one of his students and so he's inclined to treat her like the others he's close with, especially since he has those feelings for her, but on the other hand, he sees her as a source of comfort similar to a mother, although that feeling is mostly tied to his mind and he has no real reason to trust his mind due to recent developments.
They arrive at the manor, and Touka wonders which home he will return to once the day is over and which of his girlfriends he will be with, noting that while she has no idea how many he has, she knows it's too many. Sensei assumes she prefers monogamous relationships, and while she confirms this, she's aware that polygamous ones are a thing, albeit usually for men and not woman. He reminds her that she's barely a woman, though she disagrees and recalls how he stated multiple times that she's more mature than most of the girls in his class. He feels like she's up to something, but before she can make any suggestions, Tsubasa appears.
Touka is displeased by her meddling, but Tsubasa ignores her and inserts herself into the conversation, pointing out it's a bit late to receive lessons from her "former" teacher. She jokingly asks what his intentions are, but knows nothing will happen since he sees her daughter as a mother figure. While Touka thinks her statement is ridiculous, the realization that it's true slowly sinks in during the following exchange and, disappointed, she calls it a night.
After she's gone, Sensei reprimands Tsubasa for getting involved in affairs that don't concern her, but she retorts that protecting her daughter is her concern and how she just saved both of them from being hurt. He demands she stops interfering, but she doesn't take it serious and is let down that Sensei can't give her any consequences if she wouldn't heed his word. He's surprised she's even of them when she probably never experienced any, but she tells him that not everyone has his life experiences and that, despite his doubts, there's still a lot she can learn from him. After a bit of silence, she wonders if he knows about the massage parlor, but cancels her plan when Touka's scream of anguish echoes through the halls, and instead sends him to her to fix this situation.
Once he reaches her bedroom and remarks how unnecessarily spacious it is, he tries to talk with Touka, but she doesn't want to see him and demands he leaves her alone, which he ignores. The moment he reaches her bed to clear up the dynamic between them, he finds himself under a desperate Touka. While she can understand why he sees her as a mother figure and doesn't mind playing the role when needed, it was never her intention to fully become one. She reprimands herself for everything she said and did during their outing and wonders when he began to see her like this. He explains that it was during the last Halloween party when he was seeking her company, though he only realized it later, but Touka thought that he did it because he saw her as a different kind of special.
She confesses her feelings and understands if he feels put off by them, but he tells her that he isn't, and while he manages to somewhat convince her that his feelings for her are complicated, they don't mean much when their relationship doesn't advance in a meaningful way. She doesn't mind coddling him, but she needs something in return and needs to hear from him that he understands her. Unfortunately, he can't understand her – She's a stunning young woman who could have everyone she wants, and yet she wants him. However, he still pretends he does, as being there for the girls has become part of who he is.
She asks if he will condemn her, but he negates this, stating that he can't change how he sees her but also has other strong feelings for her, which catches her off-guard even though it's what she wanted to hear. She confesses that she shares these strong feelings, but needs some time before they can advance their relationship. With everything said, she wonders what they should tell her mother, and when he makes the suggestion to mess with Tsubasa, she calls him by his name, only for Sensei to ask her to call him by his real one.
He leaves after agreeing with Touka to not tell Tsubasa anything about their conversation, and when he enters his room, he's already awaited by someone.
