Synopsis
After Sensei's remark, Yuki admits their conversation could've been better and then reveals she lied to Sara, but won't elaborate on what she has lied about. Sensei "extends his gratitude" for admitting her probable substance abuse to him instead of telling it to the one person who could help her, but she tells him there is no help against a neverending internal struggle fueled by self-hatred. After a pause, she reveals to Sensei that she has romantic feelings for him despite not knowing why she feels this way. They are then interrupted by a knock at the door.
Sensei opens the door of Yuki's apartment to find Rika standing in the entrance with a plate of cookies in her hands. Rika is immediately flustered by the sight of Yuki in only her underwear, but expresses her approval of the sight. Yuki asks what she's doing here, and Rika claims to have brought her extras of the cookies she made, with Sensei immediately calling her out for lying. Rika states her wish, albeit awkwardly, for her and Yuki to be friends, as well as her displeasure for Sensei's less than pure tendencies with her neighbors.
The three take a seat at Yuki's small table, and Rika attempts to better acquaint herself with Yuki, while Sensei worries that Rika's optimism will take a hit once she learns more about Yuki, which happens when Yuki repeatedly hits her with sadder truths about herself. Unshakable, Rika suggests different avenues Yuki could consider to clean up her life, but she already tried those years ago and might still have a bad reputation at one of them. She isn't entirely sure, since it's been years since then, thinking she went there when she was Rika's age, only to learn that Rika is older than her. Yuki wonders how she still looks so young, and Rika assumes a life of regular exercise and no drugs helps. She thinks that Yuki also looks good for her age and assumes she can look ten years younger if she did something against the dark circles under her eyes and bleaches her hair again to give it more color.
Irritated by her invasiveness, Yuki changes the subject and asks how Sensei and Rika met, which they proceed to recount for her in a misleadingly inappropriate light. After some more unsuccessful flirting on Rika's part and some attempts to help her, Yuki decides she's at her limit and asks her to leave, rejecting her help completely.
With Rika gone, Yuki asks Sensei to take care of Yumi for her if anything were to happen. They reaffirm with one another that they care for each other, and Sensei returns home.
