Sensei visits Rin in the Koi Cafe for another "game of coffee-roulette". Rin mentions that she has a doctor's appointment, but says that it's just a routine check-up. Sensei is surprised to get a near-normal cafe mocha rather than one of her usual creations, and Rin says that she's just "not feeling all that creative". Sensei asks if something's wrong, and mentions that Chika was also concerned. After some hesitation, Rin asks Sensei if he ever "has any thoughts that you wish you didn't". Sensei says that he sometimes does, and Rin is glad she isn't the only one. She doesn't want to keep talking about it, and changes the subject to Chika. Rin admits that she hasn't stopped thinking about Chika for "like, two years", but insists that Sensei not tell anyone. He also tells Sensei not to steal Chika, although she doesn't actually have any plan for approaching Chika herself yet. Rin leaves for her doctor's appointment, still insisting that she's fine.
