Synopsis

While on his way to face Chika, Sensei is humored by the irony of his situation – Instead of finding out by catching him with someone he's similarly close with, she found out through her best friend who he isn't close with in any way. Once he's there, Chinami tries to intervene and resolve the situation peacefully, but it doesn't work, and both Sensei and Chika are standing on the balcony where she threatened Yumi before.

Sensei struggles to initiate the conversation, so Chika confronts him with her suspicion. He wants to know how she even saw them, and, after some snarky remarks, she explains that she looked for him since she got tired of waiting and feared someone else took her place, which she confirmed that night, especially with all the other things that have come up recently and he never told her about. He wants to tell her that he never told her because he cares for her, but she cuts him off, reminds him of all the things she changed with her behavior to make him happy, and how him ignoring her after his return scared her, with it being clear now why he did. He tells her it isn't, though, since nothing happened with Yumi and they were with other girls in his room for reasons he can't explain. He also states how the other girls can confirm this, but since the time loop makes it hard for him to say who actually can, it makes his story sound unbelievable and poorly thought out to Chika.

She begs him to just end their relationship, feeling like it's what he wants anyway, and notes how Yumi would be better for him since she's less clingy. When Sensei reaffirms that nothing happened, Chika points out that he would like something to happen and how the potential alone caused this. She advises him to forget them and find someone else, though suggests he shouldn't make promises about love he can't keep, but Sensei tells her he never made a false promise to her, his definition of love is just complex and unconventional – He wants to have a relationship with every girl in his life, regardless of how wrong or hurtful it is, because that's just the way he is, but he wishes he was able to commit, and he never showed her his true self because he cares for her.

Somehow, Chika rationalizes his explanation to mean she's the only one he truly loves and would choose if he could, which would make her the winner out of all of them. Sensei asks if she's okay, and while she claims she is, the following conversation and her apparent mental breakdown suggest otherwise. Fearing he "infected" her, he makes her calm down and makes sure she's really fine and understood everything, with her claiming she did. She offers him to stay for dinner, but he decides to leave.

Now alone on the balcony, Chika is talking to herself about the outcome of her talk with Sensei, showing clear signs of mental and emotional instability.
