"I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning" is an Event for Wakana Watabe.

Wakana Affection
This Event takes place in the following locations:
Sensei receives a call from Wakana, though she stays silent after he picks up. Once she finally starts to speak, she wants to know if he's free today, which he is. He asks if she's in her office, and while Wakana retorts that it's Saturday, he reminds her how she tends to spend her Saturdays working in her office, though she informs him that she has no reason to be there today. He then wants to know what she needs form him since she only calls him for a reason, and she asks if he can come to her apartment since she could use his company, and while she doesn't need him to come there right away, Sensei quickly ends the call, gets ready and makes his way to her apartment.
Once he arrives, he's greeted by a gloomy looking Wakana, and when he asks what she needs from him, she wants him to clean her house, though due to him being rather obedient and observant of her bad mood, she allows him to join her on the couch without having to do menial tasks first.
Once they take a seat, Wakana immediately pulls her knees to her chest and Sensei knows it's about Osako. She mentions how she knows about them going out the other night and so she assumes he's aware of their strained relationship. He confirms that he noticed that things weren't great between them when they were at the beach, and she elaborates that their relationship hasn't been great for a few months now, but it became worse after the trip. Osako is starting to improve herself, which scares Wakana since she's used to things staying the same, and fears that this sudden change might be a bad omen.
Sensei is relieved to hear that this is her biggest fear and that there isn't anything serious going on, but Wakana doesn't think he should get too comfortable since this situation is different from other times they had relationship issues, and while she hopes it's just a case of her being too pessimistic, she needed someone to help her steel her nerves. He wonders why he is the one she chose for that, and Wakana, now resting her head on his shoulder, tells him that Imani may be more reliable than him overall, but he's the only one she feels protected by, comparing him to a supportive relative, and how he's special for her. Sensei feels a bit weird with her becoming someone else as well, but she promises she will return to her usual self once this phase of vulnerability is over.
With this, she asks him to make some room between his legs so she can cry into his chest while he holds her. Once Wakana has changed her position and starts to cry, Sensei strokes her hair and tries to make her feel comfortable, allowing her this moment of being human without it tainting his image of her. Wakana demands more effort from him, commanding him to hold her tighter and give her compliments, and complains when he does a terrible job.
Half an hour later, Wakana has separated from him and, as promised, has returned to her normal self. After her usual round of complaining about him, she demands something to eat, and Sensei has a place in mind, though warns her that it's a longer trip.
