School is over and Sensei is leaving together with Ami. He is still unsure how to deal with Molly, who is determined to speak with him about what happened, but decides to avoid her for now since what happened is still unclear to him. Ami realizes that something’s off and asks if there’s a reason he avoids Molly, but Sensei assures her that he’s just tired. She accepts it and suggests him to get some sleep once they’re home. He wants to know if he could do something to change her feelings for him, but she states that she would love him no matter what.
Their conversation is cut off by Noriko who apologizes to Sensei for her immature outburst. Sensei doesn’t understand why she’s the one apologizing, considering that she didn’t do anything wrong, but when he thinks about apologizing himself, he abandons that since what he did wasn’t wrong and getting upset about it is on her. Noriko continues by stating that him being with other girls isn’t her concern and that it’s on her to become stronger.
Amy decides to give both of them time and heads home, demanding that he comes back once they’re done. He tells her that an apology isn’t necessary, which she immediately disagrees with. She explains that by trying to intervene between him and her sister she broke her promise of not getting in the way of other girls in their pursuit for Sensei’s affection. As a result, she made a new promise and wants to fight for him on equal grounds. She acknowledges how embarrassing she behaves and begs him to accept her apology to make her stop.
They are interrupted by an unknown woman, who heard Noriko in the distance, decided to take a look and now cheers for Noriko in her pursuit of Sensei. He wants to know who she is and she introduces herself as Imani, the new substitute teacher for Wakana’s class during her medical leave. Sensei asks her to leave and she does shortly after. Sensei tells Noriko that seeing her this serious was weird, but she explains that this was necessary to reaffirm her feelings for him, making him realize that, despite trying to act mature, Noriko’s still a teenager who seeks for forgiveness rather than letting things take a negative turn.
He accepts her apology, which surprises her since she thought that not having to apologize was a lie from him, but he explains that there was no reason for him to lie. She requests from him to walk her home, which he accepts. Sensei waits for her to get changed but is surprised when she gets back 30 seconds later. She tells him that’s it’s already ten minutes later and both of them are outside with her holding his arm. Sensei is confused by the sudden change of scenery but still walks Noriko home.
