Sensei gets woken up by Maya, an occurrence that gives him the feeling that this will be a day full of losses. He wonders why she woke him up, but when Maya mentions that he can find out why by going into Ami’s room and comments that it won’t be like last time, he figures out that the beach trip is coming up. Since this still doesn't explain why she woke him up, she explains that she wants to get something for breakfast and offers to treat him, but retracts her offer when he makes another stupid comment. Before she leaves, Sensei notices that her hair is up and her scarf is missing, and Maya tells him that, since she can’t tell what’s going to happen from here on out, she wanted to try adapting to the unknown without the risk of losing her scarf.
Sensei makes his way to Ami’s room and is greeted by Ami, Ayane and Sana in their swimsuits. After acknowledging that Ayane is feeling better after his last visit, he compliments them on their swimsuits and tries a trick that failed before, but Ami prevents it from happening. The doorbell rings and Ami assumes it’s Karin, who wanted to come with them to the beach. Sensei decides to greet her, ignoring Ami’s pleas to let her handle it so Karin doesn’t suffer a panic attack.
While Karin doesn’t suffer a panic attack, she’s still embarrassed in his presence and can’t talk with him properly. When she asks where Ami is, he jokingly states that they’re alone and that he wouldn’t mind spending the day with her before they go to the beach, which ends in Karin’s legs giving up under her, though she’s a little upset when he tells her the truth. Maya returns with a watermelon, but when she sees Karin, she gets defensive and hides her melon. Once she’s back, all three have a short conversation until Ami comes out of her room, at which point Maya asks if they can make their way to the beach so she can eat her melon soon.
