For Makoto, Sensei is a role model. She mentions that, just like Sensei, she wants to be a teacher after graduating, and that's part of the reason why se studies so hard.

Makoto also seems to be very fond of both the "old" and the "new" Sensei, but is shocked to learn that he's watching porn, even saying that she will never get over the fact that he is "secretly a pervert", and believing that many of the jokes made by Sensei are extremely inappropriate.
