She and Kirin start flirting with each other, much to Ami’s annoyance. Ami recommends that Ayane and her should take the maps and split up to cover more ground, but a distracted Ayane thinks they should stick together instead.


After around an hour, Kirin and Noriko stop to take a break. Noriko reveals she's already found the trophy, but wanted to talk about the date contest first. Kirin tries to weasel out of the conversation, but Noriko's persistence makes her concede.

Noriko tells her that she sung her song to him, which influenced his final decision.

Meanwhile, Ami and Ayane are completely lost and Ayane isn’t much help since she’s distracted by her own thoughts. After they searched some more without finding a single clue, Ayane wants to talk with Ami about something important but doesn’t know how to break it to her. When Ami says that she can talk about everything with her since they’re best friends, she confesses that she knows about her and Sensei.
 
Ami snaps immediately and admits everything she does with and has done for Sensei, that this is the only way for her to live on and that she won’t allow anyone to interfere, no matter how much other people judge her. Ayane admits that she’s a little grossed out, but she only wanted to make sure that she’s doing it out of love and not as the only way to deal with her trauma. Since it’s the former, she accepts their relationship and Ami feels sorry for lashing out at her.
